A FORMER Ribblesdale High School pupil who returned to his old school as a craft design and technology teacher has retired


after a career spanning more than 30 years. Mr David Bowkur, of Park Avenue, Clitheroe, has


opted for early retirement at the age of 57 as part of the latest round of teacher cuts during the current


cash crisis in schools. He has accepted an enhanced package from Lanca­
