Children add colour to a splendid show


A PERFECT spring day, combined with an


amusing "grasshead” pup­ pets. The Beavers showed


excellent crowd of visitors and marvel­ lous display of flowers, plants, confectionery, wine and children’s entries, all added up to make a highly suc­ cessful Rimmgton and District Gardening Club annual spring

Clough introduced Mrs V. Gardiner, of Rimington, who officially opened the show, in the Memorial I n s t i t u t e . She was thanked by club president Mrs P. Townsend, who also presented Mrs Gar­ diner with a token of appreciation. ! The many and varied

SOME 30 mayors from around Lancashire arrived by train in Clitheroe — as guests of Ribble Valley’s leading
