THE BEST Farewell to playgroup leader KITCHEN IN THE WORLD jyw . *“

- ......... ' U - i ’f

A GISBURN playgroup leader was the guest of honour at a surprise party to mark her retirement. Mrs Hilda Waddington has been involved in the

village playgroup since its inception in 1970 and her enthusiasm and dedication have benefited both chil-

dren and parents. She was among those attending the first play

group meeting, which was held in the old school house. The first chairman of the group was Mrs Ada Capstick, with Mrs Waddington taking over as leader

in 1974.The group has flourished under her leadership and tributes were paid to Mrs Waddington’s high level of

dedication. She has regularly stayed up until the early hours , CLAYTON-LE-DALE
