A WOMAN whose skill as a milliner earned her a host of friends in Clitheroe and district, Miss Hilda Lillian Preedy, of Littlemoor, Clitheroe, died in hospital on Sunday. She was 75.
Miss Preedy began her
working life with' Hart leys, Moor Lane, with whom she served her time as a milliner.' In 1920 she found employment with Mrs E. Grimshaw who 'had opened a ladies’ out-' fitters in Wellgate. She stayed with the family firm when it moved to Church Street and finally to Castle Street. It was from the Castle Street shop that she retired in 1974, having completed more than half a century’s service.
Mr Tony Stones, division al nursing officer at Cal- derstones, included scenes of visits to Rome and California made recently by severely disabled resi dents.
