VALUE for money was the theme at St Paul’s Church Christmas fair at Low Moor on Saturday, and no-one could argue with that.

Practically everything on sale had been made by members of the parish, and visitors were able to find many suitable Christ mas gifts.

The fair, which made a p ro f it of £600 for church funds, was officially opened by Mrs Muriel ‘Butlin, wife of the Vicar of Chatburn. She was in troduc ed by the Vicar, the Rev. Arthur Siddall.

Prize is music to Leslie’s ears

FOR several years Mr Leslie Allen, of Castle View, Clitheroe, looked longingly at hi-fi equip ment, but as a family man with three young children, put off buying.
