twice for Mr Blackburn. Coun. Miss Alston, how

NEAR MISS FOR MICK
ONLY a couple of points denied sharpshooter Mick
Meggison a 3,000 mile trip to Montreal to represent Britain
at the Olympics. After a week of trials, the
selectors decided Mick, for merly of Clitheroe, should be first reserve for the rapid fire pistol team. Mick (27) who runs a sports shop in Great Harwood, has decided not to trav e l to Montreal unless absolutely necessary, because of business commitments. He has now set his sights
firmly on the Moscow games of 1980, when the present team members will probably have retired and he will have a
great chance. TEAMS
