Amarinth Wins £1.5M Chemical Injection Skid Order For Nigeria’s LNG Fields
Amarinth, a world-leading, net-zero designer and manufacturer of low lifecycle cost centrifugal pumps and associated equipment, primarily for the offshore and onshore oil & gas industries; nuclear and renewable energy generation; defence; desalination; process and industrial markets, has secured an order worth over £1.5 million, comprising of four bespoke API 675 chemical injection skid packages, for Nigeria’s Soku and Gbaran LNG fields.
The four skid packages will be deployed across Nigeria’s Soku and Gbaran oil and gas fields, located in the Niger Delta. These fields are key suppliers of feed gas to the Nigeria LNG (NLNG) plant at Finima, Bonny Island.
Each skid is bespoke and engineered for precise chemical injection duties critical to maintaining pipeline integrity and equipment performance.
The order includes the following units:
• Package 1: Biocide Injection Skid and Oxygen Scavenger Injection Skid
• Package 2: Biocide Injection Skid and Scale Inhibitor Injection Skid
Built to stringent API 675 standards, each skid features a fully integrated instrumentation package comprising pressure and level transmitters, actuated valves, and other key components for automated control and monitoring. The skids are scheduled for delivery within a particularly demanding 39-week timeframe.
Amarinth’s engineering approach ensures each package is designed to maximise performance while minimising footprint. Pump and pipe arrangements are optimised for compactness and seamless integration with existing infrastructure, including piping, flanges, and nozzles.
The skids are fully pre-assembled and factory-tested, including all structural elements and spare parts, to streamline on-site installation and commissioning.
Key features of the skid packages include:
• Optimised Compact Footprint: Modular layouts tailored for efficient placement within space-constrained environments.
• Comprehensive Instrumentation: Integrated sensors and control valves enable remote monitoring and seamless connection to existing control systems.
• Robust API 675 Design: Engineered for reliable, long- term operation in demanding oilfield conditions
•
Pre-Assembled Delivery: Fully tested and assembled units ensure minimal installation time on site.
Amarinth was selected for its proven expertise in delivering designed-to-order chemical injection skids on aggressive timelines and its ability to integrate them smoothly with existing site operations and instrumentation protocols.
This order highlights Amarinth’s expanding footprint in Africa’s energy landscape.
Reflecting on the win, Managing Director Oliver Brigginshaw said: “We are delighted with this order, which is another result of our strategic investment in Africa. The region includes five of the world’s top thirty oil producers, and Nigeria ranks tenth in global petroleum reserves.
As a carbon net-zero company, Amarinth continues to lead in providing sustainable, high-performance solutions for critical energy infrastructure around the globe.”
