SOLIHULL ROTARY GOLF DAY RAISES £1,400 FOR MIDLANDS AIR AMBULANCE CHARITY


The Rotary Club of Solihull hosted its 40th Annual Pro-Am Charity Golf Tournament at Copt Heath Golf Club, bringing together golfers for a day of competition followed by an evening dinner, auction, and raffle.


Held on 1st June, the event raised £1,400 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, one of two charities chosen to benefit from this year's tournament. The donation will help the charity continue providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire.


Midlands Air Ambulance Charity receives no government funding for its services and relies entirely on donations, fundraising, and community support to remain operational.


West Midlands fundraising executive, Kay Starkey, attended the event with one of the charity's critical care cars, while critical care paramedic Laura Rogers joined guests for the evening meal and auction, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about the charity's lifesaving service.


Kay Starkey said: "It was a pleasure to be part of such a well- supported event and meet so many people who are passionate about helping their local air ambulance. Every pound raised helps us continue delivering advanced pre-hospital emergency
