The renovation of the shop began with clearing out the existing components and restoring the natural brick along the west side of the interior walls. This process allows for the original beauty of the building to glow and provides a gorgeous backdrop for the pottery to be displayed. The yellow door was found in storage during the initial cleanup and the decision was
made to restore it back to its original glory. Wentworth Landscapes reframed the entrance and doorway, then painted it yellow to reflects Dawn’s vision and love for the bright colour. The flooring throughout the studio is also original to the previous build, which was
then restored and painted to create statement for customers as they enter the storefront. Custom woodworking from Wentworth allowed for the large rough-cut wood table and shelves that surround the studio; as well as new lighting to provide a welcoming space.
