14 Bells has grown into a community meeting place, hosting wine clubs, book clubs and launches, engagement parties, concerts and corporate cocktail parties. And of course, the gallery has curated several solo and group exhibitions over the past four years. A few highlights include our very first show in December 2017 that commemorated
the 100th anniversary of the Halifax explosion. Our name and logo references that historic event so it was the perfect introduction for the gallery to the neighbourhood. Our April 2020 show for Anna Horsnell also stands out. It was by necessity, launched online due to the COVID outbreak. The art community didn’t miss a beat and Anna’s show, “Earthlings”, resonated with collectors during a difficult time and it sold out! I am energized to move into the post pandemic landscape with all the lessons we
have learned, the biggest one being, people always need art (and we are happy to help with that!)
