Peter John Reid was born in Plymouth, England and immigrated to Canada as a child. He attended C.W. Jeffries in North York, a high school with a dedicated arts program, followed by four years post-secondary schooling at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD U).
As a young man, Reid worked in the commercial art field, raising a family, and paying
the bills, while developing and exploring his craft. Now retired from the daily grind, he is a full-time professional artist showing in several Canadian art galleries. His work can be found in private and corporate collections around the world.
