ONE QUESTION, THREE ANSWERS

Why did you make your first gift to Palmer College?

HEATHER BOWYER, D.C.

(WEST, `06), DEAN OF CLINICS – PALMER FLORIDA

I made my first gift to Palmer because the institution, faculty and mentors have given so much support and guidance to me and countless other students. As a faculty member and now Dean of Clinics, I have had the opportunity to see just how much Palmer cares and invests in our students and the chiropractic profession. It is an honor for me to be able to give back to the College to show my appreciation.

ZOE MCTEER, D.C. (MAIN, `22), CHICAGO, IL

Giving to Palmer means that you’re setting the stage for the next phase of chiropractic. I chose to support the Rehabilitation Residency and rugby because those programs transformed me into who I am today, both as a clinician and a person. Making your first gift can be scary; it was for me. But then I remembered that there is no gift that wouldn’t be impactful. Everyone starts somewhere!

BRANT HULSEBUS, D.C.

(MAIN, `02), ROCKFORD, IL 2023 FELLOWS INDUCTEE

My first gift to Palmer felt like a milestone. For me, part of success in any career means reaching the point where one can afford to give back. Being a third-generation Palmer graduate, I saw my father and grandfather always active and involved with Palmer. Once I started gifting to Palmer, I had the feeling of belonging more to the College, just as the previous generations of my family have. It is exciting to see the school grow and stay current. It is an institution I am proud to remain a part of.
