DE S IGN CENTRE

DESIGNS TO INSPIRE

From a vibrant Scottish hotel to a restful bathroom, use this issue’s projects as a creative starting point – sourcing it all from the Design Centre’s showrooms

THE DRAWING ROOM In this elegant Beverly Hills villa, Michael S Smith has

created a comfortable, welcoming scene. To get the look, introduce a sense of European classicism with ‘Beaumesnil’, a 19th-century floral fabric by Braquenié at Pierre Frey , ‘Aryan Chota’ paisley print by Namay Samay, an ‘Anne-Marie’ Louis XV-style armchair and an ‘Oviedo’ coffee table from Oficina Inglesa Furniture. Add characterful lighting like Vaughan’s ‘Imari Vase’ lamp and ‘Percy’, a sculpted camel lamp from Porta Romana, while Alexander Lamont’s ‘Paglia’ candleholders bring a hint of American modernism

THE BEDROOM Russell Sage has a created a Scottish fantasyland at Glenmorangie House.

Deliciously fun and convivial, this hotel bedroom begs you to stay awhile. To create the look, mix Morris & Co’s ‘Acanthus’ wallcovering, Zoffany’s ‘Richmond Park’ velvet and Marvic Textiles’ ‘Fiamma’ flame stitch fabric. Guaranteeing a good night’s sleep, choose Vispring’s ‘Charlotte’ bed, a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship and sustainable comfort. Kirkby Design’s tartan ‘Gamma’ cushion and Vaughan’s ‘Biarritz Column’ lamp add the final flourishes.
