CHARLOTTE ABRAHAMS
Charlotte Abrahams is a freelance design writer and occasional curator. She contributes regular features to
publications including The Design Edit and Design Anthology UK. Her latest book,
Intelligent Hands: Why Making is a Life Skill is out later this year, published by
Quickthorn Books. In ‘Global Style’ (p20), she talks to French interior designer
Jean-Louis Deniot, whose international work offers a sophisticated take on neo-classical interiors.
EMMA LOVE
Emma Love is a freelance journalist specialising in interiors, design and travel. London-based, she is a contributing editor
at Conde Nast Traveller and ELLE Decoration, and also writes for publications such as The Telegraph, Country & Town House and House & Garden. In ‘Wise Counsel’
(p38), she talks to interior designers about the reality of their jobs (because it’s far more than plumping cushions).

A passionate advocate for design, she engages with the industry to create

EMILY BROOKS Emily Brooks is a journalist and editor
specialising in interiors, architecture and design. London-based, she writes for Design Anthology UK, Grand Designs and
the Observer Magazine, and is the editor of Design News for the Design Centre. In ‘Pay It Forward’ (p34),
she discovers the positive steps design firms are taking to make a difference.
ARABELLA MCNIE
Arabella McNie is a creative interiors stylist renowned for her innate style.
Her knack of imaginatively interpreting a brief has led her to art direct projects both at home and overseas. As creative director at the Design Centre she has
curated the look of key events throughout the year. Her artistic flair, use of
colour, texture and eye for detail can be seen in the vignettes she created for ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ (p14).
