Training & simulation Practice makes perfect
The British Army’s development of a next-generation collective training system is set to take a high-tech approach to preparing its forces for combat. From virtual and augmented reality to state-of-the-art data and connectivity solutions, the UK’s Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP) will prepare soldiers for a range of scenarios that are difficult to recreate on a training ground. Jim Banks speaks to Major Andrew Chalmers of the Training Capability Branch to break down the advantages of such a platform.
