This exhibition showcases contemporary works, including prints, paintings, films, photography, sculpture and architectural works. The Shakers examines the 18th-century US religious group’s design and architecture, which were expressions of beliefs surrounding community, labour and social equality, and were hailed for their radical simplicity, as well as an innovative use of standardisation and serial production. Make Do With Now: New Directions in Japanese Architecture

This exhibition explores the ideas and projects of a new generation of Japanese architects and urban practitioners that were born between the mid-1970s and mid-1990s and who began their careers following the 2011 earthquake and the Fukushima disaster. A Capsule in Time 6 June – 26 October 2025 Serpentine Pavilion, London


This summer, the Serpentine showcases the work of Marina Tabassum and her firm, Marina Tabassum Architects (MTA), an architecture and studio-based practice based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A Capsule in Time features an elongated capsule-like form with a central court. The structure is comprised of four wooden sculptural forms with a translucent façade that diffuses and dapples light when it enters the space. serpentinegalleries.org
