Johanna Lindén will assume the role of chief financial officer at Setra on September 16. She has extensive


experience in the wood industry and most recently held the position of CFO, strategy and IT manager at Södra Wood. “I am very much looking forward to working with Johanna and warmly welcome her to Setra,” said Marcus Westdahl, Setra’s CEO. “With her drive and industry knowledge, she will be a strong addition to our executive management team and contribute to Setra’s development and the ongoing improvement work in the company.”

James Donaldson Insulation appoints new business manager

James Donaldson Insulation (JDI), has appointed Laura Borland as business manager, in a role that will see her lead the team on business growth. Ms Borland has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, working as branch manager with multiple businesses across the sector. She joined JDI


In her role as business manager, Ms Borland is responsible for operations across JDI and supporting continued business growth. “We are excited to welcome Laura into the role of business manager at JDI,” said Steve Galbraith, managing director of retail and distribution at the Donaldson Group. “With decades of experience leading teams and branches, she has the expertise to guide the business as we continue to grow and evolve. We are continuously developing our product offering to meet demand and ensure we provide the best possible options for our customers. Laura’s knowledge will ensure we remain a prominent business in the industry.”


Pinelog welcomes new sales team member

Jessica Blaney has joined Chesterfield- based Pinelog Ltd, one of the UK’s leading


She has joined the long-standing family- owned business as a sales administrator, bringing over 15 years of experience within construction and sales In her new role, Ms Blaney will be supporting Pinelog’s busy sales team in managing customer enquiries and ensuring a seamless experience for clients from their initial contact through to the completion of their luxury timber lodge purchase. Ms Blaney joins Pinelog from the hospitality industry where she worked as a general manager. Prior to that she worked for a large building material supplier of sustainable materials for 14 years.


Derome Husproduktion, chief financial officer at Derome Timber, and held several managerial positions at Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bentley University.


“During my years in the sawmill industry, I have always seen Setra as a stable and solid company,” she said. “The investment and development journey that Setra is now undergoing to improve its position in the industry is exciting and proactive, and it is something I really want to contribute to.”


Reid retires from Rosehill

Rosehill Timber recently bade a fond farewell to James Reid who has retired after 51 years with the company. Mr Reid worked with three generations of the family, starting straight from school in 1973 at the age 15 with Arthur Young snr, then working with Arthur’s children and now his grandchildren, until his retirement on June 16.


He started his journey in the forest felling trees and then moved into the sawmill operating various saws. His knowledge of their operation was then utilised as he progressed to maintenance and repair. Mr Reid also turned his hand to joinery work, including the construction of pallets, tattie boxes and fence panels. He was also trained in the maintenance of the company’s CHP plant and latterly he was driving the lorry and loaders. Colleagues past and present came together for a presentation and lunch to celebrate his retirement.
