INTERNATIONAL New US production facility inaugurated by Girbau in its 105th year

2025 has proven significant in the history of Girbau as the company inaugurates a new production facility in the United States and simultaneously celebrates its 105th anniversary. Girbau is a global leader in industrial laundry solutions and marked a key milestone with the official inauguration of its new plant in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The company, which had celebrated the anniversary at its headquarters in Vic, Spain earlier this year*, made sure to celebrate additionally at the new site, reaffirming its commitment to the North American market and its focus on proximity, innovation, and sustainability. The inaugural event, 29 October, was attended by representatives from local Wisconsin and Oshkosh authorities, ACCIÓ (the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia), and members of the Girbau and Continental Laundry Solutions teams. The day included guided tours of the facilities, institutional speeches highlighting the importance of this new factory as a symbol of international collaboration, local job creation, and commitment to industrial sustainability, as well as the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project was developed with the support and collaboration of ACCIÓ.

During the week, the Girbau team celebrated together with the Continental Laundry Solutions team, as well as members of the Board of Directors and the management committee who travelled

from Spain for the occasion. The event served to commemorate more than a century of innovation, commitment, and family spirit that have defined Girbau since its founding in 1920.

The new plant, with a current production capacity of 3,000 machines a year, has been designed to meet the specific needs of the US market. Its production is exclusively destined for the local market, reinforcing the company’s strategy of proximity and service, and contributing to greater operational efficiency, faster delivery times, and a reduction in the logistical footprint. “This new plant symbolises Girbau’s constant evolution: a company with more than a century of history that continues to look to the future with the same passion and commitment to our customers and the planet,” said Mercè

Girbau, president and CEO of Girbau. “The United States is a strategic market for us, and this inauguration reaffirms our intention to continue growing sustainably and collaboratively alongside our local partners.”

The opening of this factory represents the next natural step in that collaboration, enabling Girbau to maintain its industrial and innovation capacity in the Americas. With this new investment, Girbau reaffirms its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability – pillars that have guided its 105-year history and will continue to drive its global growth in the years to come.

Jensen machines and offers consulting, planning, spare parts service and process optimisation.

Maxi-Press has also teamed up with DRM Industrial Fabrics in the United Kingdom. The move became effective from 1 October. With this new company, Maxi-Press is creating a strong foundation for its UK customers while setting the course for further growth in the European market. These moves come shortly after Maxi- Press acquired the business of Filterfab Pty

Ltd (Australia) and the shares of Filterfab NZ Limited (New Zealand), both active in the consumables business for heavy-duty laundry operations.

The completion of the transaction is expected within a few weeks. The two Filterfab companies are beneficially owned by Clifford Andrew and generate an annual revenue of 11.6 million Australian dollars. This acquisition will enable the Jensen- Group to further expand its activities within the after-sales business in the region.
