industrial settings, repair shops, garages and any facility with limited space. The EM series three-phase mini electric chain hoists are available in 250lb, 500lb and 1,000lb capacities. The company’s SEM series single-phase mini electric chain hoists are available in 500lb and 1,000lb capacities. The standard configuration is top hook mount. Harrington’s PT series push trolley can also be paired with these hoists for added mobility. The company says the hoists have a compact and rugged die-cast aluminium body with no sharp edges and feature “a high-performance motor brake, a unique chain guide designed to prevent chain tangling, completely sealed housing allowing for both indoor and outdoor use, and nickel-plated load chain for corrosion resistance”.
H The EM and SEM series hoists include
a low-profile upper limit switch to protect them from overwinding. “Both models are designed with a state-of-the- art control system using solid state relay technology and a microcontroller unit to increase the longevity of the hoist and provide superior safety functions,” the company added. arrington Hoists has released two new lines of mini electric chain hoists designed for use in medium to heavy-duty
all aluminium or with an aluminium bridge and steel runway. They are available in standard or low-headroom styles, with raised bridges in capacities of 1/8 through to 2.0-ton capacities. “The cranes are lightweight yet
powerful modular solutions that make operation even easier than using traditional bridge cranes,” said the company. The enclosed track design is said to maximise smooth movement and minimise the accumulation of dirt and dust in the track, which means operating the system takes “very little effort from the user”. Cranes are said to be fully customisable to fit material handling and production needs and can be modified by adding components as production or facility requirements change. Alongside the above products, Harrington Hoists/Kito Entertainment Group has also launched its new line of Krewmate mini entertainment chain hoists. The hoists are available in both single-phase and three-phase models, in capacities of 500lb and 1,000lb, and are intended for use in theatres, concert halls, arenas and studios. Group says Krewmate mini hoists are, like their EM and SEM series counterparts, designed with a control system using solid state relay technology and an microcontroller unit to “increase the longevity of the hoist and provide superior safety functions”.
Standard features include a “high-
performance motor brake, a unique chain guide designed to prevent chain tangling, completely sealed housing allowing for both indoor and outdoor use, a grease packed gearbox for demanding entertainment needs, and a compact round body with no sharp edges that fits conveniently in a 12in truss”. Finally, the lifting solutions company has announced dates for its US Harrington Repair School, which provides technicians with up-to-date information on installing and servicing Harrington’s entire product line. operation, inspection criteria and how to inspect and repair both past and current Harrington products. The school consists of classroom
work followed by the hands-on training of disassembling and assembling the products described in each type of class. Each person attending will receive a Harrington Repair Manual on all products discussed and a certificate stating they are qualified to make repairs to those Harrington units. ●
