LOGIMAT 2026 New hoists and high-end materials
Demag will be presenting several new products at LogiMAT 2026. New materials for hoists and impellers play a major role in making products even more efficient. With two new product approaches at
LogiMAT 2026 at Hall 7, C35, Demag will be demonstrating how the use of synthetic high- performance fibres affects the performance and serviceability of modern hoists. It is based on Dyneema, an ultra-high-molecular polyethylene that is characterised by high tensile strength, low density and corrosion resistance.
DHR wire rope hoist with synthetic rope as an option The DHR wire rope hoist series covers load capacities of up to 20t. Based on the steel rope version, the system has been expanded so that a Dyneema rope can be used in the payload range up to 10t. The reduced friction between rope and drum or pulleys reduces the wear rate and extends the service life of the entire rope guide. Another design advantage results from the
fibre behaviour: Dyneema strands do not bend, but remain elastic. This eliminates the rope wear mechanism of the wire break. Likewise, no lubrication is required, minimising dust and dirt build-up. Due to the more than 80% lower weight, replacing a rope is easier to handle for service technicians.

demanding environments While the DHR uses the fibre as an option, the newly developed DBH belt hoist relies entirely on Dyneema as a traction device. The cross-woven belt is guided over polyamide or stainless steel rollers and was initially designed for a food processing application where corrosive salt particles resulted in greatly reduced rope life cycle. This resulted in the DBH

presenting the new DCS-II chain hoist series as a continuously variable version. This means that the successor generation DC-II, which was introduced two years ago, will be supplemented by the converter-controlled version. The features:
1. Various speed across the entire load spectrum.
2. Very sensitive control at low speed. 3. Up to 90% higher speeds in part-load operation with Pro-Hub.
4. Load capacities up to 3,200kg. In the future, the DCS will be offered in the DC-
Pro-II and DC-Com-II versions as well as a Manulift for one-handed operation and load guidance as well as with an ergonomic rocker switch.
with two sizes (DBH 2 and 5) for load capacities between 125kg and 6.3t. The fully encapsulated housing design
prevents material leakage while protecting the system from moisture and foreign particles. The lifetime lubricated gearbox enables almost maintenance-free operation. Due to its material- related corrosion resistance, the DBH is suitable for hygiene-sensitive production lines as well as for industrial areas with abrasive dusts or aggressive media. According to appropriate test procedures, the DBH 2 also meets the requirements of cleanroom class 7. The dynamic properties of the system are
relevant in practice: The belt does not create a polygon effect like a chain and thus enables particularly smooth lifting and lowering movements. This improves positioning accuracy in assembly critical applications and reduces vibration inputs into the supporting structure. The use of synthetic ropes can influence several design parameters: 1. Service life: lower friction, no corrosion, no wire breaks.
2. Service: simplified rope change, no lubricant management.
3. Environmental conditions: unrestricted use in humidity, salt atmospheres or clean rooms.

Demag Pur wheel LWS 450+ Demag is also using LogiMAT as a stage for another product launch: The new LWS 450 F wheel system achieves higher performance. This is made possible by new material composition and optimised geometry. With the PUR Wheel, Demag have now made the travel wheel system even faster and more powerful. It provides an increase of up to 10% in speed and load capacity compared to previous LRS travel wheels. This is made possible by new material composition and optimised geometry. The extremely robust cast iron core is covered in a PUR tyre, which not only ensures greater speed performance, but also makes it possible to accommodate higher load capacities than the previous models.
