ROLL OF HONOUR 2023 - REMEMBERING OFFICERS WHO DIED ON DUTY IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police
Found deceased on duty early in his shift after suffering a medical episode while on patrol.
Unable to contact him on the radio his colleagues set out to locate him and having done so began CPR which, sadly, proved unsuccessful.
Police Sergeant Steven Creal 21/12/2022 Sussex Police
Died unexpectedly following a medical incident while on duty, working at home.
Police Constable Richard James Joseph Kemp 27/12/2022
Lancashire Constabulary
Died in the Royal Preston Hospital from a heart-related condition on duty.
Police Sergeant Bruce Lister 30/01/2023
Hertfordshire Constabulary
Suffered a fatal medical episode on duty within the police station. Found at his desk deceased.
Police Constable Neil Pattinson 27/02/2023 Northumbria Police
Having finished duty, he died unexpectedly whilst driving home.
Police Constable Andy Boardman 11/04/2023
West Mercia Police
Whilst on duty at an incident he collapsed and died despite efforts of paramedics already in attendance.
Police Inspector Gareth Earp 29/06/2023
Dyfed-Powys Police
Died following a collision as he travelled home from work on the A470 near Rhayader.
Police Sergeant Graham Saville 29/08/2023
Nottinghamshire Police
Died from injuries after being hit by a train while trying to save a distressed man from the train
tracks on 24 August. On Tuesday 29 August 2023 Sgt Saville passed away surrounded by his family within the hospital.
