the streets as she made her final journey to be reunited with her beloved husband. They served their Queen in a last show of duty, as akin to their oath. Their professionalism and sense of public duty has shone through. We are exceptionally proud of all of these officers and thank them for their efforts.


On her 21st birthday, before she became Queen, Princess Elizabeth made the following pledge: “I declare before you that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.” There is no doubt, she did just this.

Family as they mourn the loss of their mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. As loyal servants of the Crown, we mourn the loss of Her Majesty alongside the many people who admired and adored her. Her devotion to duty is an example to us all and we celebrate her extraordinary life of service. It has been an honour to proudly serve her for the last seven decades. May Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, rest in peace. We now look to the future, preserving the peace of His Majesty The King and serving the King in the Office of Constable. Long live King Charles III.
