Putting the Police community first

Police Mutual, have always put the interests of their customers at the heart of everything they do, by helping to support the financial health and wellbeing of the Police community.

If you’re a member of the Police community, you’ll know that being in the Police Force is never easy. Support is needed now, more than ever. And Police Mutual are committed to doing what they can to help.

Proudly honouring outstanding Police Officers

Police Mutual also proudly sponsors the annual Police Bravery Awards and Police Scotland Excellence Awards.

These awards recognise deserving Police Officers across the UK, who have acted with incredible bravery, often in extremely difficult and dangerous situations.

Many Police Officers see these risks as part of their job. They don’t think twice about their own safety, in order to help protect the public – on and off duty. That’s why Police Mutual are proud to be involved in honouring them.

Improving the lives of the Police family is what Police Mutual are all about. The company has been able to put in place a wide range of initiatives, services and support to make a positive difference to the lives of serving and retired Police Officers and Staff.

Meet ‘Hercules’

These include ‘Hercules’ a trusty Land Rover Defender that acts as a mobile barista. Hercules travels to Police stations the length and breadth of the UK, delivering hot drinks and a welcome snack for the busy Police Officers and Staff. It also gives them a chance to have a chat with a Police Mutual financial wellbeing consultant about money matters. When people are under pressure, small gestures like these can often make all the difference.

Sometimes, the positive impact can be immeasurable

Police Mutual also organise respite breaks for Police families who need some time out to recover from illness, stress or loss. And there’s a CareLine Service provided by Health Assured, which offers counselling and advice over the phone, on an e-portal and via an App.

It’s not just the job that’s stressful. Financial security and emotional wellbeing are closely connected. To help people stay in control of their money, Police Mutual provide free Financial Education Courses.

We also refer people to PayPlan, who offer debt advice to help them back on track.
