CHARITY
advertised on the website, on social media or via the online club magazine and any member of the club can attend and join in. Chapters are as active as their members wish them to be, organising all the usual biker’s distractions, bike runs, BBQs and biking weekends.
Because most members of Blue Knights
are serving or retired law enforcement personnel, there is a strong background of helping people and supporting worthy causes. Until now, internationally the club has raised $19.5 million for charities, including ‘Care of Police Survivors’ (COPS) and multiple children’s charities. In 2023 the fantastic amount of £27,600 was donated by the UK&I club to various charities in either cash or goods. It has also supported the Blue Knight
trips delivering to the Polish border. Internationally the Blue Knights have
donated $176,895.50 in 2023. Rog Hopes, vice chair, Blue Knights LEMC UK&I, said: “It is difficult to state exactly what makes the Blue Knights so special but perhaps the following will help to explain the kind of feelings that flow
“We all enjoy the company of people who share not only the common bond of a career in law enforcement but also have a love of motorcycles and motorcycling.”

It is wonderful to be able to visit countries that you have never been to and be treated like
family by people you have never met. “Many retired Blue Knights continue the hard work they started whilst serving, raising money for various charities and activities especially close to our hearts, helping children and vulnerable people. When travelling, local members can provide help, direction and sometimes even a place to stay, you are never far from a member. “The club prides itself on being a fraternal organisation that promotes the feeling of family. Spouses and partners often
accompany our members on the various rides, at functions, rallies, and events. Among Blue Knight members there are no strangers, only friends you have not met.”
