FuturArc Webinar Series: Ecopuncture

At the end of 2019, FuturArc published a book called Ecopuncture. The author, Dr Nirmal Kishnani, is an educator and expert in sustainable design as well as an associate professor at the School of Design & Environment at the National University of Singapore.

Ecopuncture is described by Dr Nirmal as acupuncture for the built environment. Every designed object affects the wider condition within which it is nested. Each insertion enhances the connectedness of social and ecological systems, seeking positive reciprocity, and strengthening the whole. As the social responsibility of the built environment falls upon the shoulders of policymakers, planners, developers and designers, this book is a must-have.

Date 6 November 2020 Venue Zoom session, 3:00 – 4:30 PM
