THE TAKEME GROUP CONTINUES TO GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
The Take Me Group is pleased to announce the successful acquis- ition of shares previously held by MBH Corporation PLC for its sites located in Farnborough, Leicester, and Stoke-on-Trent. This move comes following MBH’s entry into administration in February, solidifying TakeMe’s position as a leader in the industry.
David Hunter, CEO of TakeMe Group, said: “This marks a sig- nificant milestone in our ongoing efforts to consolidate Take Me’s presence across the country. “Bringing these sites under our ownership not only enhances our operational efficiency but also underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional services to
our customers.” The acquisition reflects Take Me Group’s dedication to expansion despite the challenging economic landscape. By taking proactive steps to secure ownership of these key sites, TakeMe Group reaffirms its position as a reliable partner and industry leader in providing top-notch services to its clients.
KARHOO STOPS TRADING AND GOES INTO ADMINISTRATION AS MOBILIZE & RENAULT PULL PLUG
Karhoo stops trading and enters administration, again as parent company Mobilize and ultimate owner Renault Group pulls the plug. A notice briefly put up on Karhoo’s website read: “Unfortunately, the decision has been taken that the business is no longer financially viable. It has therefore become necessary to enter an adminis- tration process. Under these
circumstances, regrettably, we will not be able to conclude any new contracts or fulfill our obligations under our current agreements, and our platform will no longer be able to execute rides. “We apologise to all our customers and partners.” Head of Product at Karhoo, John Daily Jr, said: “I still believe there is a massive need that has not been
addressed by anything on the market today. Perhaps the timing is just a bit off, or the solution takes a more radical form in the future as the market consolidates. “But if there is anything Karhoo has proven, there are fleets and drivers looking for a better way, the tech can be built and there are individuals out here that are passionate enough to keep at it.”
PARKING PLATFORM PANGO AGREES TO ACQUIRE GETT FOR $175M
Parking-payment platform Pango has agreed to acquire ground transportation booking platform Gett for $175 million, Gett announced on its website last month. Pango,

The deal is subject to approval by the Israeli Competition Authority; Gett has corporate offices in Tel Aviv and the United Kingdom. Pango intends to retain Gett’s wider global teams and support Gett’s growth in the ride-hailing and delivery markets in the U.K. and Israel, according to Gett. In 2022 Gett terminated a deal to go public via a special purpose acquisition company. In March 2023, it partnered with Free Now in
the U.K. for private hire vehicles for corporate customers as well as with HQ for that company’s corporate customers to book on- demand and future rides. “Gett remains a key strategic partner, and we do not anticipate any changes in our relationship or offering,” HQ chief revenue officer, Charity Rumery, wrote in an email to Business Travel News. “From our perspective, it’s business as usual.”
