Sheffield Council now allows the use of audio recording, after having worked hard on that aspect for a long time. The criteria it has adopted now matches that of several other local authorities including: Craven DC, Amber Valley BC, Guildford BC, Cambridge CC, South Cambs DC, City of York Council, Telford & Wrekin Council, The Welsh Government, and many more.


WHY A NATIONAL STANDARD


It is crucial that no driver should have to tolerate a system that provides less protection and coverage than those in neighbouring regions. It would not be fair for a driver to install a system that satisfies the require- ment of one council, only to find that the system they have just paid for is not accepted by their new one.


ONE SIZE REALLY DOES FIT ALL


To make sure this risk is reduced, our system is truly a “one size fits all” product. We have designed it that way

deliberately to make sure that we can modify either the settings, or the way in which we install the system, to satisfy any conditions at all, for example: • If external cameras aren’t allowed, we don’t install them. • If a monitor isn’t allowed, we don’t fit it. We try to make sure it is there as a visible deterrent.


• If audio isn’t allowed, we don’t install it. • If audio is to be timed, then we install timed audio. Although always point out the many reasons why we recommend the physical switch type.


• If the audio is switch controlled, we fit a switch. • Where the override switch isn’t allowed, we don’t fit it. • If a driver changes local authority, we simply adapt the system accordingly, and then change the security password to match your new council.


There cannot be a situation where a different system is required for each council; that would create confusion and unreasonable costs for those changing authority.


As you can see, we supply a one size fits all product.
