WOMEN IN TAXI iCABBi WOMEN IN TAXI BACK WITH A BANG!
iCabbi Women in Taxi was back with a bang this year. The International Women’s Day event was made bigger and even better with the help of sponsors Take Me and CMAC. Over 90 people took over the Sir Thomas in Liverpool for a lively afternoon dedicated to celebrating female leadership in the taxi and private hire industry.
iCabbi CMO and founder of Women in Taxi, Sinead Gillett, commented:
“While there may be fewer women in the taxi industry right now than men, their contribution is mighty. From fleet owners to business leaders to tech entrepreneurs, women have been making a significant impact on our trade for decades. An event to recognise this contribution and give space to discussions of female perspectives is well overdue.
“For sure, recognising the necessity of women participating in the industry, from driving through to policy level decision making is an everyday concern. But there is nonetheless something very special about taking the time to address it formally as an industry.
“Collaboration and community are central to the future of the taxi and private hire sector.”
Fleets from all over the UK and Ireland were represented, along with industry partners and trade organisations. iCabbi Women in Taxi is fast growing legs and will no doubt be returning in 2026 with an even greater demand and even grander gala!
