ARLG: Purposeful Social Media for Academic Libraries
Hosted by ARLG
8 September, 10am to 1pm Online
A hands-on and interactive workshop, focusing on social media with purpose: defining what you want to achieve, who you want to reach, and what you actually need to say. We’ll move beyond broadcasting updates, to a building stra- tegic, sustainable online presence that genuinely matters. Our time is limited, so how do we use it most effectively?
Topics covered will include the social media landscape and the many available channels, using social media to further your library’s aims, voice and tone, interactivity, accessibility and increasing engagement. Platforms covered include Instagram, TikTok and Bluesky.
To support those undertaking ACLIP/MCLIP, this workshop may support evidence for the following PKSBs: 10.4; 10.7; 10.8; 10.9; 13.5; 13.6
