British Library Single Digital Presence update with Liz White, Ella Snell and Becca Mytton 12.30pm on 24 June


An update from BL staff on the Arts Council England and Carnegie UK Trust funded ‘Single Digital Presence’ project. The project began in 2018 to explore digital transformations in public libraries and what a national online presence for the sector could look like. As well as explaining its drivers, methods and findings, the session will also outline the next steps and answer questions from attendees.

The second in our series of ‘Presidential Debates’, CILIP President Paul Corney will invite a panel of speakers — award-winning journalist and author Kate Thompson; Sue Williamson, Director for Libraries for ACE; Isobel Hunter, first Chief Executive of Libraries Connected; and Professor Shelley Trower, who led the AHRC-funded Living Libraries project. The panel will explore the question “Are public libraries a national network or a local service?”
