Five hospitalised in US Navy destroyer fire
Fire broke out on board US Navy destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill at Jacksonville Naval Station, Mayport. The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew. Five crew were taken to hospital, none with life threatening injuries.

Container ship KMTC Shenzhen suffered fire on board in several containers about 8 nm off Port Klang. The ship drifted and was surrounded by tugs and emergency vessels.
Luxury yacht destroyed by fire
Fire broke out on board the luxury yacht Irmao at Formentero La Savina marina anchorage in the Balearic Islands. The yacht was swiftly engulfed by fire. 12 passengers and 5 crew were lucky to escape the burning boat. No major injuries were reported.

Four Australian surfers and two Indonesian crew members reported missing after their boat was struck by a storm have been rescued after spending almost two days floating in the ocean off Indonesia.
16 Injured After Fuel Dock Explosion on Lake of the Ozarks
A great day on the water almost turned deadly as 16 people were injured in a fuel dock explosion on Lake of the Ozarks. Missouri State Police said the explosion occurred when the captain of a 2000 Carver cruiser turned on their ignition after refuelling at the Millstone Marina. An apparent spark in the engine bay caused an explosion, which ejected three people from the boat. Two people who were on the fuel dock were also injured.
Two crew missing after cargo ship capsized off western Japan
Two crew were reported missing after two cargo vessels collided of the coast of Wakayama Prefecture, western Japan.
Fire onboard tanker in Gulf of Tonkin
A fire broke out on a 7,056 dwt tanker, Sheng You 229, in the Gulf of Tonkin resulting in two crewmates presumed dead. According to international news sources, the ship’s cargo tanks caught fire, and the fire swiftly spread to the rest of the ship.
Russian freighter fire
Fire broke out in the cargo hold of general cargo vessel Terskiy Bereg at Arkhangelsk Port, Russia. It was reported that the cargo was on fire. No injuries reported.
Two sailors rescued from sailing vessel in North Queensland
The sailing vessel with two people on board broadcast a mayday on VHF after running aground on a reef. A vessel was sent to assist the grounded ketch and another nearby private craft responded to the mayday. Both were recovered uninjured.
Tanker and LNG carrier collide in Suez Canal
An accident happened between the Singapore flagged liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier BW Lesmes and the Cayman Islands flagged oil products tanker Burri. The Suez Canal Authority was able to to quickly deploy tugboats and traffic resumed along the canal within a few hours without further incident.
Major fire on general cargo ship
Fire erupted in the fore area of general cargo ship Kota Nabire, which was berthed in Sunda Kelapa Harbor, Jakarta. At least 15 engines and 70 firefighters responded, plus port tugs.
Ferry sunk assisting tug after collision
Ferry New Taima collided with an assisting tug while leaving Fuao port, Matsu islands, Taiwan. The tug aft hull was breached, the engine room was flooded and the vessel sank half an hour after the collision. 5 crew were reported safe.
