WIGGLERS TO WALKERS (AGES BIRTH–24 MONTHS) Short stories, songs, rhymes and movement in this language enrichment program designed to boost brain development. Mondays, 11 am *This program may be replaced intermittently with special events.


PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (AGES 3–5) Longer books, singing, finger plays and skill build- ing activities needed to get your child ready for kindergarten.


Tuesdays, 11 am *This program may be replaced intermittently with special events.

VALLEY OF THE SUN UNITED WAY SPONSORED STORYTIMES Join us for stories, songs and rhymes. The first 25 children will receive a free book of their own.

TEEN VOLUNTEER WEDNESDAYS (AGES12–18) Volunteer at the library to meet new friends, help the community, learn valuable work skills, learn about libraries, and earn volunteer hours for school! *Volunteers under 18 must have a parent/guardian complete a waiver prior to starting.

ADULTS LIBRARY FOR ALL Adults with disabilities and their caregivers can make, craft, create, and explore at the library. Join us monthly as we embrace the DIY spirit in a low stress and fun environment.

IN-PERSON PARENTING WORKSHOPS Avondale Public Library, in partnership with Arizona Children's Association & Maricopa County Health will host parenting workshops for parents of children ages 2 - 5 years.


Space is limited; registration is required.


EAT, PLAY, GROW Each participant will learn fun physical activities to do with their children and new tips on eating healthy. For parents of children age 5 years or younger. Each participant receives a class certificate and a gift.
