MESSAGE FROM THE
MAYOR CITY COUNCIL
The Avondale City Council would like to wish all our residents a great 2023 ahead. Last year, we saw the opening of an amazing new community park, Alamar Park; the re-opening of a beloved neighborhood park, Donnie Hale Park; the completion of a brand new parking garage at The BLVD, and the launch of an exciting new microtransit service, WeRide (see back cover for more details on WeRIde). In addition, we welcomed several new businesses and restaurants to our city, and many families who settled in new homes and apartments in our community. We anticipate 2023 to be another successful year for Avondale, filled with opportunities to come together to celebrate, connect, make new friends and meet your neighbors.
This edition of the RAVE Review highlights the myriad of happenings, activities, recreation programs and things to do in our community. Our Uniquely Avondale feature on pages 16 and 17, also highlights some of the unique businesses in our city that are making a difference when it comes to their environmental footprint.
