RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS Alamar Park
Alamar Park celebrated its grand opening on October 8th, 2022. Activities included: little league baseball, football, soccer, pickleball, food trucks, local and city exhibitors, a costume event for pets, splashing at the park splashpad, and fishing in the new Alamar Lake. This 40-acre Community Park is in the Alamar Development located at 4155 South El Mirage Road.
Donnie Hale Park Improvements
Donnie Hale Park, located at 10857 W 4th Street in Cashion, underwent renovations that were completed in Fall 2022. Renovations included improving two basketball courts, converting two basketball courts into futsal courts, adding new ramadas and improving existing ones, installing new playground equipment, covered ball field seating and general site improvements.
The BLVD Parking Garage
Completed in November 2022, The BLVD Parking Garage, located at 925 N 114th Avenue, con- tains over 400 parking stalls including four electric vehicle charging stalls to provide parking to the growing BLVD District and Valley Metro transit patrons.
107th Ave. and McDowell Road Improvements
This project widened the south side of McDowell Road and the west side of 107th Avenue to provide three lanes in each direction along McDowell Road and two lanes in each direction on 107th Avenue. The project included dual left turn lanes for the traffic movements to and from the I-10 Freeway. The improvements included a landscaped median along McDowell Road and 107th Avenue, traffic signal poles, streetlights, and sidewalks.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION Aquatic Center
The Avondale Aquatic Center offers a competition pool for local schools and swim leagues, and a recreational pool for families complete with a lazy river and large slide features. For more infor- mation and project updates, please check the project website at

Fairway Commerce Center
A new 444,000 square foot speculative industrial building project, located at the northeast corner of Fairway Drive and Corporate Drive, consists of the large building, landscaping, parking, and adjacent right-of-way improvements. Construction began the 4th quarter of 2022.
