It’s our pleasure . . . CHICK-FIL-A COMES TO NGU
North Greenville University has welcomed its latest dining location: Tigerville’s very own Chick-fil-A.
Te new restaurant officially opened its doors on Aug. 15, 2018, just in time for the start of the 2018-19 academic year. Chick-fil-A takes the place of the former ’63-’64 Grill, or “Te Grill,” located in the Tingle Student Life Cen- ter at NGU’s campus in Tigerville, SC.
Te Chick-fil-A at NGU is open to all NGU family, as well as the public. NGU students can even use meal equals and Crusader Bucks at NGU’s Chick-fil-A.
“We are excited to bring Chick-fil-A to NGU,” states Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr., NGU president. “Tis has long been desired, and I’m thankful for all who worked so hard this past year to make it a reality, including our Campus En- hancement Services and Information Technol- ogy teams.”
All are sure to enjoy the same lunch and dinner staples the chain is most famous for, includ- ing the Chick-fil-A Chicken, Spicy Chicken, and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, along with Chick-fil-A Nuggets and Grilled Nuggets. Waffle Potato Fries and milkshakes also make an appearance on the menu.
But besides chicken, Chick-fil-A is, of course, also known for its exceptional customer service and only 6-day workweek. Te company’s restaurants are closed on Sundays, honoring the Christian value to set aside a day for rest and worship.
“Chick-fil-A [is] a good fit for us culturally. Teir goals and their brand and what they stand for as a company really just aligns with North Greenville,” says NGU Senior Vice President for Finance Michelle Sabou.
