AMTES RUNNERS COMPLETE LEIPZIG’S CORPORATE CHARITY DASH TO RAISE MONEY FOR LOCAL HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS


AMTES GmbH, part of Volga-Dnepr Group, was one of 730 local companies with a team participating in the 10th Leipzig Corporate Dash.


AMTES’ team of 12 runners – all aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry professionals – was led by Managing Director, Mr. Ildar Ilyasov. They were joined by a total of 16,000 participants in the annual 5km race, which has been raising money for local charities since 2008. The event also aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and promote the social responsibility of Leipzig-based companies through charitable activities.


All of the money raised by this year’s event will be used to support palliative divisions of local healthcare institutions.


2017 is the first year a team from AMTES GmbH has taken part in the 5km dash. Its team of runners, who had been training individually and in a group for several


VD GULF EXTENDS ITS COVERAGE IN


MIDDLE EAST VD Gulf, the leading independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) specialist based near Sharjah International Airport, has received approval from the aviation authorities of the Kingdom of Bahrain to perform unlimited base and line maintenance for aircraft registered in Bahrain.


The approval confirms the compliance of VD Gulf’s maintenance base with all applicable requirements and regulations following an audit by Bahrain CAA officials. VD Gulf now has such approvals from the aviation authorities of 14 countries worldwide, including other states in the region such as India, Turkey, Iraq and Pakistan, to extend its capabilities to provide aircraft MRO services.


“We are striving to increase the number of the Middle Eastern countries using our services. In the foreseeable future we are going to further expand the coverage area and receive approvals from other Middle Eastern countries,” said Mikhail Khoroshayev, VD Gulf General Director.

importantly of all, it raises a great deal of money to care for those needing help. This year’s race has demonstrated that AMTES employees are strong not only in mind, but also in body, and able to help our customers as well as children and adults who need our help. I wish to thank all of our employees for their preparation and participation in the event. We look forward to taking part in the Dash in 2018.”


ANOTHER ‘FIRST’ FOR VOLGA-DNEPR TECHNICS MOSCOW’S AVIATION TRAINING CENTER


Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow’s (VDTM) Aviation Training Center has been awarded Federal Aviation Regulation No 289 certification, making it one of the first MRO providers to be approved to train engineering and technical personnel to conduct maintenance on aircraft produced by international manufacturers, including Boeing 747-400 and 747-8 types.


The certificate enables VDTM to deliver training sessions for the following aircraft versions:


- Boeing 737-300/400/500 - Boeing 737-700/800 - Boeing 747-400/-8 - Airbus A319/320/321


VDTM is the only Russian organisation approved to provide Boeing 747-400 and


747-8 personnel training. “In 2016, we not only provided training to develop the skills of our own MRO specialists, we also extended our training services to external customers for their own personnel. This is continuing in 2017 and we have already received requests for training from companies such as A-Technics, Russia Airlines, UTG aviation services and others,” said Evgeniy Kochetov, Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow’s General Director.
