Roffe vacated his position as Managing Director, Global Travel Retail at Halewood Wines and Spirits at the end of April. Roffe has nearly 35 years’ commercial
and general management experience after spells with the likes of Diageo and Rémy Cointreau. Most recently, he played a key role in
launching Halewood’s travel retail business and was instrumental in the rise of Whitley Neill Gin.
Jonathan Pollard to head Gatwick commercial business London Gatwick Airport has appointed Jonathan Pollard as Chief Commercial Officer. Pollard (pictured above), currently CCO at
London Luton Airport, will join Gatwick in September. He will be tasked with spearheading the
airport’s airline relations, retail, restaurant and other commercial revenue streams such as car parking and property. Pollard said: “I’m delighted to take on
this new challenge at Gatwick which is renowned for its approach to innovative commercial management. “We are inevitably experiencing difficult
times, but the aviation industry has proven its resilience in the past and this will likely be no exception as long as we adapt quickly to changes in consumer behaviour and passenger processes. “I am looking forward to embracing this
challenge with the Gatwick Executive and my wider team and driving forward our commercial offering.”
Simon Roffe back in the drinks fold with Penderyn Distillery Welsh spirits firm Penderyn Distillery has named Simon Roffe (below) as Director of Business Development.
He has held a number of executive
roles at leading companies, including in the automotive sector at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group as Head of Alfa Romeo for the EMEA region and Head of Alfa Romeo Global Launch.
Auckland Airport’s Lucy Thomas joins APTRA Board The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) has welcomed Auckland Airport as a new board member. The airport is represented by Lucy Thomas, Head of Retail (pictured above). The appointment of Auckland Airport and
Thomas replaces Melbourne Airport and Andrew Gardiner. Other recent appointments to the
APTRA Board include Distell International represented by Luke Maga, Managing Director, Global Travel Retail, and Delhi Duty Free, represented by Philip Eckles, CEO.
Marcolin Group unveils Fabrizio Curci as CEO and GM Fabrizio Curci is the new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at Marcolin Group, the Italian eyewear group’s Board of Directors has confirmed. Massimo Renon stood down as CEO in
April in mutual agreement with the Board of Directors and was subsequently appointed CEO of fashion giant Benetton Group. Curci (pictured top of next column), previously
CEO and General Manager of Fiera Milano S.p.A, has a wealth of international management experience.

Changi CEO Seow Hiang Lee re-elected as ACI AP President Changi Airport Group CEO Seow Hiang Lee (pictured below) has been re-elected as ACI Asia-Pacific President for a further two years. The appointment was confirmed at the
regional council’s first ever virtual assembly in June at the same time as the election of new officers, directors and special advisors. Among the appointments were Sheikh
Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni (Secretary Treasurer), CEO, Oman Airports Management Company, and Emmanuel Menanteau (First Vice President), Board Member, Cambodia Airports. Both were elected as Board Officers for a further two years. Joining them were H.E. Ali Salim Al Midfa
(Second Vice President), Chairman Sharjah Airport Authority and SGK Kishore (Second Vice President), Executive Director, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. A number of new Board Directors were
also elected for three years during the assembly.
