Leveraging Goodwill | ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE


> Gamecock Gateway program enrollment grew to 434 students in 2017-18. This is the largest enrollment in the history of the program and a 178% increase since the program began in 2011. First-to-second-semester Gamecock Gateway student persistence rates have exceeded 90% for the past three years, and the third class of Gamecock Gateway students graduated from USC with baccalaureate degrees in May 2018.


> MTC hosted the Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge (FELC) at its Beltline Campus. FELC is a five-day, learning-intensive, non-residential summer camp that teaches important free-enterprise principles and principled-leadership traits and supports entrepreneurial efforts.


> MTC dental students provided free services for Midlands children. As part of the MTC Dental Clinic’s Smiles from the Heart event, 40 second-year Dental Hygiene students and Expanded Duty Dental Assisting students volunteered their time to give children brighter, healthier smiles.
