Zoom


Quizmaster: Ensure you have access to a Zoom account that allows for a meeting of unlimited time – you don’t want the meeting to time out after 40 minutes, which is the allowance of a basic Zoom account.


Create a Zoom meeting to begin at 7pm on Thursday 18 March and invite your team members (giving 30 minutes to ensure your setup is working correctly).


On the day, you’ll need to open MarieCurieBrainGame.com on your browser (Google Chrome is recommended) and enter your Team name and your email address in the quiz prompt on the right-hand side of the screen.


In a separate tab, join your Zoom meeting.


When you join the Zoom meeting, click on the green ‘Share screen’ button


You’ll be able to see the below green bar indicating you are sharing your screen – if you wish to stop, please click the red ‘Stop share’ button. You can also mute yourself whilst leaving the computer sound playing by clicking the ‘Mute’ button.


When the above right screen shows, ensure you have selected ‘Share sound’ and select the picture that shows the live event. As the Quizmaster, you are responsible for inputting your team’s answer for each question within the allotted time.


All other participants: Join the Zoom you’ve been invited to by the Quizmaster – you’ll be able to see the screen showing the live virtual event, discuss the answers to the quiz questions and the Quizmaster will be responsible for inputting the team answers.
