UniversalConnector/TwoBolt-Connection Traps – maximum serviceability
One of the most innovative developments in the MIYAWAKI Portfolio is the TwoBolt-Connection steam traps. This technology makes it possible to replace the entire arrester without loosening the pipe connections. The pipeline remains in operation, while only the functional housing is removed via two screws.
Models such as DC121U or SU232U and new from April TBU7/9-U, offer:
• Operating pressures up to 3.2 MPa • Temperatures up to 350 °C • Capacities up to 680 kg/h • Robust stainless steel constructions
This saves time, reduces downtime costs and reduces the risks that are usually associated with opening pipelines.
CTCP UniversalConnector units further extend the functionality. They offer: • Integrated shut-off valves • Blowdown Function • Test connections for tests during operation
This high modularity makes UniversalConnector-Traps particularly valuable for systems that require fast and safe maintenance.
The proven MIYAWAKI product portfolio In addition to the modern system solutions, MIYAWAKI offers a wide range of classic steam traps for individual process optimization:
• Series E – Inverted Bucket Traps: durable, dirt-resistant, with SCCV system
• G Series – Ball Float Traps: ideal for continuous condensate traps
• TB Series – Thermostatic Traps: Perfect for Energy-Efficient SteamTracing
These product lines form the basis – but only the combination with AssessmentTools, Manifolds and UniversalConnector technology fully leverages the efficiency potential.
Holistic approach to sustainable energy efficiency MIYAWAKI combines:
• Analysis (Steam System Assessment)
• Infrastructure (Manifold packages, UniversalConnector systems)
• Component technology (E, G, TB series steam traps) • Support & Documentation This interaction enables: 1. Transparent and reproducible system health analyses 2. Continuous reduction of energy costs 3. Higher system availability through modular maintenance 4. Future-proof infrastructure
5. Improvement of the environmental balance through reduced steam consumption
Conclusion While steam traps have traditionally been the focus of energy optimization, modern practice shows that the greatest savings potential arises from the interaction of professional steam system assessment, efficient technology and modular solutions for condensate management.
MIYAWAKI supplies a well-thought-out overall system that combines technical efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability – ideal for energy-intensive industries such as chemicals, refineries and petrochemicals.
