Riad, Saudi-Arabien: Saudi-Arabien treibt derzeit groß angelegte Industrie- und Energiewende-Projekte voran. Darunter eine Carbon-Capture-and- Storage-Anlage (CCS) in Jubail, die bis zum Jahr 2028 bis zu 9 Millionen Tonnen CO₂ pro Jahr abscheiden soll, und das 8,4 Milliarden US-Dollar teure NEOM-Green-Hydrogen-Projekt,

mit dem bis 2027 rund 600 Tonnen grüner Wasserstoff pro Tag produziert werden sollen. Die Prozessindustrie der Region tritt in eine Phase ein, die von Systemintegration, Dekarbonisierung und fortschrittlicher Fertigung geprägt ist.
