Globe Trotting with Equiery Readers


Barbara Reynolds went to Tanzania in September and had a tour of the Dolly Estate from horseback.


Anne Sanders of Pasadena traveled to Italy to trail ride under the Tuscan sun.


Julie Hoskyn went trail riding in Scotsburn while exploring Nova Scotia in the spring.


Claire Godwin, DVM rode in the Shahzada 400 KM Ride in Australia, which is an Endurance ride run over fi ve days. She borrowed a horse named Maringo from friends Ron Malone and Julie White who also crewed for her during the competition. Godwin fi n- ished fourth out of 48 starters, won the Halifax Hayes Fit and Well Award, the Best Trot Out Award and an award for the competitor who traveled the farthest.


Darryl Cherry of Mechanicsville volunteered at the Antelope Park in Zimbabwe where she met several of its animal residents as well as taught school in the town of Gweru.


MJC Vice President of Racing Development Georganne Halle went on safari in Botswana.


Caitlyn Fiolka of Mechanicsville and Theresa Keyes of Hughesville went to Wasall, England, for a saddle fi tting training session and retreat with Custom Saddlery.
