Out & About at the Jim McKay Maryland Million October 14 • Laurel Park


Narrow Leaf Farm’s Maryland-bred Miss Harriett (Blofeld x Tejano Sea) took home the $100,000 Maryland Million Lassie with Jean Briceno in the irons for trainer Brandon McFarlane.


Abby Taylor, representing EHM Sta- bles, won the Medium Pony Flat race with her pony Spur.


Maryland-bred Ain’t Da Beer Cold (Freedom Child x Distinct Aff air), the longest shot in the race at 35-1, was named the winner of the $150,000 Maryland Million Classic after Market Maven was disqualifi ed. Ain’t Da Beer Cold is owned by Matt Spencer, Kelly Jo Cox and Bonuccelli Racing and was ridden by Jevian Toledo for trainer Kenny Cox.


It was a wet and fast turf for the fourth race which was won by Maryland-bred Bad Temper (Super Ninety Nine x Seven Days). The fi lly is owned by Brothers in Blue, trained by Gina Perri and ridden by Tais Lyapustina.

Maryland-bred Intrepid Daydream (Jess’s Dream x Intrepid Tour) won the $100,000 Maryland Million Distaff for owner/breeder Paul Fowler, Jr. The fi lly was ridden by Jevian Toledo and is trained by Gary Capuano.
