USPC is looking into adding more advanced levels of C3 through A as the program develops. “Western Dressage is very accessible for rid- ers of all ages and all types of mounts, which makes this an exciting opportunity for Pony Club,” said USPC Instruction Services Direc- tor Connie Jehlik. USPC added a general Western riding track in 2012 for the D2 through C2 levels.
Lloyds Loves Wins Horse of the Meet Honors
After winning eight races during the win-
ter-spring meet at Rosecroft Raceway in Mt. Washington, Lloyds Loves was named Horse of the Meet. T e four-year-old mare fi nished fi rst or second in 12 out of 13 starts during the meet to earn $53,300. Trained most recently by Michael Hall, trainer John Wagner also worked with the mare who is owned by Chris Devine and William MacMillan. T e owners claimed

Phil Schoenthal Joins MHBA Board T e Maryland Horse Breeders Association
(MHBA) elected four returning and one new member to its Board of Directors in June. Re- turning members are Brooke Bowman, Michael Horning, Josh Pons and David Wade. Newly elected is Phil Schoenthal.
Schoenthal is a T oroughbred racehorse train- er at Fair Hill who lives in Lincoln University, PA. Schoenthal owns horses in training as well as a stallion share. T ese members join current directors William
