IN MEMORIAM
SEN. JOHNNY ISAKSON, A GREAT SUPPORTER OF SENIORS
Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson, statesman, distinguished public servant, and tremendous
supporter of seniors, passed away in December 2021.
Sen. Isakson was a consistent and highly effective advocate for our nation’s elders and the senior living model of care. Through his long-time service on the Senate Finance and Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committees as well as his career in the House of Representatives, Sen. Isakson was one of the foremost experts on senior issues. In addition to his enthusiastic advocacy for the options presented by assisted, memory care and independent living communities, he was also very supportive of the role of state governments in regulating and working with providers to expand the opportunity for seniors to live in these settings.
Argentum extends our sympathy to family and his many House and Senate colleagues who had the honor of serving with him over the years.
In addition at Beacon Hill, Lifespace has named Dan Bannon executive director. He most recently served as executive director for Marian Village and Franciscan Village in the Chicago area.
