Argentum’s Leadership Advancement & Development (LEAD) program’s first cohort of 20 senior living professionals was celebrated at Argentum’s Senior Living Leadership Summit for completing a year of training and education.

The select group of senior living professionals at the regional or corporate level is nominated by senior living executives and given opportunities for development in support of their career goals. Members also complete a capstone team project in small groups, developing research or best practices in critical areas of senior living. Topics for this year’s projects included disaster preparedness, occupancy, and quality.

“This diverse and exceptional group proved their abilities during a difficult year,” said James Balda, Argentum president and CEO. “They brought value to the industry as a whole, while advancing their own skills and careers. RECOGNITIONS FOR ARGENTUM EFFORTS

The Hill newspaper named Argentum president and chief executive officer James Balda as one of Washington DC’s top lobbyists of 2021, marking national recognition for the advocacy work of the senior living association as it fights for targeted federal pandemic relief for its assisted living caregivers.

Balda thanked Argentum members for their grassroots outreach to Congress and the White House, which effectively helped save the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) intended to aid healthcare providers suffering COVID-related losses.

“Making The Hill’s top lobbyist list is a reflection of the hard work Argentum staff and our member providers put in and continue to put in—as this pandemic is not over, nor is our fight for adequate financial relief and support.”

In addition, Argentum received four MarCom awards in the international competition for marketing and communications professionals: Platinum for Tom Gresham’s 2021 feature on AI in senior living; Gold for trade magazine for Senior Living Executive’s 2021 Workforce “Heroes” issue, Gold for design of its 2021 Design Report, with honorees of Senior Living by Design; and honorable mention for design of Senior Living Executive’s 2021 The Future Issue.
