Southfield, Mich.-based American House Senior Living Communities has formed a joint venture with New York and Lon- don-based Monarch Alternative Capital to invest in senior living communities. Monarch and American House launched the part- nership through the recapitalization of six communities partially owned by American House and one property acquisition from a third party. The seven-property portfolio to- tals 1,047 residences, comprised of 525 inde- pendent living residences, 356 assisted living residences, and 166 memory care residences concentrated within Florida, Michigan, and Ohio, with an average age of five years. The joint venture expects to invest in additional properties in the near-term.
St. Louis-based Arrow Senior Living has opened The Westbury Senior Living, a contin- uum of care community in Columbia, Mo. The community opened in November 2021 and is the company’s 12th community in its Missouri portfolio.
Clearwater Living, based in Santa Ana, Calif., has opened Clearwater at North Tustin, a 110-unit assisted living and memory care community in North Tustin, Calif. It offers 72 assisted living apartments and 38 memory support apartments with a variety of floor plans, and amenities including a Zen garden, an olive grove, and an outdoor amphitheater for concerts.
Guardian Pharmacy Services, based in At- lanta, and Southern Pharmacy Services, part of the Guardian family of companies, have acquired Peak Pharmacy in Kernersville, N.C., which increases Southern Pharmacy’s customer base by 10 percent.
Irvine, Calif.-based MBK Senior Living is now the operator of record for Savanna House, a 116-unit assisted living and memory care community in Gilbert, Ariz. Colora- do-based ServiceStar Capital Management is the owner. The community offers studio and one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments and private and semi-private memory care suites.
Sunrise Senior Living, based in McLean, Va., has opened Sunrise at East 56th in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Half of the 151-unit community is dedicated to serving residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory care needs. Sunrise and Welltower, Toledo, Ohio-based real estate investment trust, have collaborated with New York’s largest health system, Northwell Health, to offer signature healthcare services to residents. Amenities include several outdoor terraces and gardens, an art studio, and a theater. The building has received three high-standard certifications: LEED Silver, WELL Certification at the Silver level, and WELL Health-Safety Rating Seal certification.
Cleveland, Ohio-based OnShift has launched an initiative to provide integrated access to third-party caregiver marketplac- es from within OnShift’s award-winning workforce management suite. Powered by a next-generation human capital man- agement platform, providers will be able

to efficiently meet critical staffing needs with on-demand caregivers when internal resources are unavailable to fill open shifts.
