Just over two hundred in what’s supposed to be the largest market in the corporates who had signed up at the time of my the pre WWII ‘League of Nations’ and how it was going to end all wars with dialogue between nations abiding to principles after the carnage of WWI. We all know how that ended up...I hope that wasn’t a template for behaviour in all such co-operative ventures between competing sides.
my thoughts about this piece. In passing I recently had the opportunity to chat with members of the FX unit of a brokerage about FX markets and what they were doing. They were in the process of setting up a new FXPB relationship and had whittled it down to ask how they were getting on with compliance to the Code? They were bemused…answering that only ONE of the four had asked for their compliance to the Code as a condition. Both of us were somewhat surprised (I was actually shocked). How can you expect the Code to work when as part of a have been the cause and supposedly the solution to
ethics...again?
