Owned by French food-products group Danone, this well-known mineral water is sourced near Évian-les-Bains, on the south shore of Lake Geneva in the French Alps. The water fi lters through layers of protected underground rock for over 15 years, giving it a unique mineral composition and naturally occurring electrolytes. In 1789, the Marquis de Lessert noticed an improvement in his kidney issues following regular absorption of the waters of the Ste-Catherine spring, leading to the owner’s monetisation of the source.
