EMERGENCY COMMANDS

In a rapid decompression, there may or may not be time for giving any verbal commands, it will depend on the altitude There is no way a verbal command can be given at the onset of an explosive decompression. However, there may be time during a slow or insidious decompression.

If so, these commands are appropriate:

“Grab Your Oxygen Mask, Put on Oxygen Mask!” “Tighten Seatbelts, Tighten Seatbelts!” “Hold Tight, Hold Tight!”

When the all clear is announced, then follow with:

“Remove Masks, You Can Remove Your Oxygen Masks Now.” “Remain Seated, Keep Seatbelts Fastened.”
